The American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) is an organization of 175,000 bridge players in North America.  The ACBL is by far the largest bridge organization in the world.  Headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, ACBL is a member of the World Bridge Federation.

The ACBL is a not-for-profit organization that sanctions bridge clubs and tournaments and tracks masterpoints to help rank players.  It has 25 geographical districts, which are further divided into over 200 local organizations (units).  The ACBL and its district and unit organizations conduct more than 1,000 tournaments each year, including three North American Bridge Championships, the largest bridge tournaments in the world, with several thousand players participating.

Each year more than 2.5 million tables of duplicate bridge are played under ACBL auspices.  There are about 3,800 affiliated bridge clubs in North America, more than 50 overseas clubs in 22 countries, and 25 others on cruise ships.

District 12 comprises 5 Units representing the Michigan lower peninsula, parts of the upper peninsula and Northwest Ohio. There are approximately 55 bridge clubs offering 130 duplicate bridge games on a weekly basis. For the tournament bridge player we have about 20 annual Sectional and Regional Tournaments. The people of District 12 are dedicated to promoting bridge both at the tournament and club level and we would like to extend an invitation to you to play in our tournaments and local club games.
